Facebook thinks she's a fake account?
A girl has been banned from Facebook for having the same name as Selena Gomez. TMZ reports that the non-celebrity Selena hails from New Mexico and claims that when she tried to sign into Facebook on Wednesday she found a message that her account had been disabled for violating Facebook's terms in regard to impersonating people.
Gomez, 18, said she isn't impersonating the singer and that she's upset that she has been banned. "I an not an imposter," she said. "My name is not hers on my page. In fact, I even put my middle name on my FB to clear up any confusion. I did not have one single famous friend. I did not refer to myself as [the famous Selena], and I did not have any pictures of her on my page!"
Gomez says she has contacted the company to reactivate her account but has had no success. A rep for Facebook had no comment.
