'American Idol' announces 13 finalists (omg!)

LOS ANGELES (AP) ? "American Idol" is down to the top 13 singers.

Smooth 21-year-old pawn shop worker Phillip Phillips of Leesburg, Ga., quirky 22-year-old nonprofit organizer Heejun Han of New York, and spunky 18-year-old country crooner Skylar Laine, from Brandon, Miss., were among the finalists revealed Thursday on the Fox singing contest. They and seven others received the most viewer votes after the 13 male semifinalists performed Tuesday and the 12 female semifinalists sang Wednesday.

The other viewer-selected finalists included soothing 18-year-old vocalist Hollie Cavanaugh, of McKinney, Texas; 20-year-old alt-rock musician Colton Dixon, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; 25-year-old "gentle giant" Jermaine Jones, of Pine Hill, N.J.; booming 19-year-old student Joshua Ledet, of Westlake, La.; soaring 16-year-old vocalist Shannon Magrane, of Tampa, Fla.; 16-year-old Jessica Sanchez, of San Diego; and soulful 28-year-old teacher Elise Testone, of Charleston, S.C.

"America, you're on fire, because this is an amazing top 10 brewing," said judge Randy Jackson.

Once the fan favorites were all revealed, the show's panel picked five remaining semifinalists to deliver a last-chance tune in hopes of becoming one of the judges' "wild card" selections. The judges ultimately chose 17-year-old student Deandre Brackensick, of San Jose, Calif.; 19-year-old receptionist Jeremy Rosado, of Valrico, Fla.; and 26-year-old disc jockey Erika Van Pelt, of South Kingstown, R.I., to be among the top 13.

"I love somebody who can fight through the tears and still deliver," judge Jennifer Lopez told a weepy Van Pelt.

The finalists will return to the stage to sing next Wednesday for the first round of season 11's finals. "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest announced Thursday that the male singers would perform Stevie Wonder songs, while the female contestants would pay tribute to the late Whitney Houston, who died last month.

UMD poll: Israelis wary of striking Iran nuclear facilities

UMD poll: Israelis wary of striking Iran nuclear facilities [ Back to EurekAlert! ] Public release date: 1-Mar-2012

COLLEGE PARK, Maryland - The Israeli public is wary of launching airstrikes aimed at disrupting Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons, reports a new public opinion poll by researchers at the University of Maryland.

Only 19 of percent of all Israelis favored a go-it-alone strike by Israel, while 42 percent supported a strike only with U.S. backing, and 34 percent opposed any strike. Survey findings for Israeli Jews closely paralleled the results for the entire population of the nation.

The poll, directed by Maryland's Sadat Chair for Peace and Development Shibley Telhami, was conducted as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepared to meet U.S. President Barack Obama next week in Washington.

"Iran's nuclear program is likely to top their agenda, and Netanyahu will enter the talks with his public divided," Telhami says. "Israeli leaders may decide to strike without U.S. support, but a detailed analysis of the poll suggests that their public wants them to follow Washington's lead, and Israelis appear to be influenced by America's judgment."

Top line survey results available online: http://ter.ps/fr

Israelis do not appear to be motivated by fears of potential American punishment, Telhami adds. Instead, the Israeli public seems driven by an assessment of the consequences of a strike against Iranian nuclear targets.

Roughly 51 percent of respondents say the war would last months (29 percent) or years (22 percent). Only 18 percent expect it to last days. About as many Israelis (44 percent) think a strike would actually strengthen Iran's government, as those who think it would weaken it (45 percent).

Meanwhile, two-thirds of Israelis expect Hezbollah to join Iran in retaliation against Israel - even if Israel does not strike Hezbollah forces. Another 27 percent believe Hezbollah would join only if attacked.

A majority of Israelis consider that any strikes would merely delay Iran's nuclear development. Only 22 percent say a strike would delay Iran's capabilities by more than five years, while an additional 31 percent say it would delay them by one to five years. On the other side, 18 percent say it would not make a difference and 11 percent say it would actually accelerate Iran's capabilities.

The poll also asked Israelis whom they preferred in a paired competition in the U.S. presidential race. A significant minority expressed no opinion or chose none of the candidates.

Though the results were sometimes close - within the margin of error - Obama tied Mitt Romney at 29 percent and was the clear favorite over every other Republican rival still in the race. Obama led Santorum (33 percent to 18 percent); Newt Gingrich (32 percent to 25 percent); and Ron Paul (32 percent to 21 percent).

The poll was fielded by Israel's Dahaf Institute between February 22 and February and February 26. Sample size: 500. Sampling error: plus or minus 4 percent.

Consolidated Billing: Solid Contract With Nursing Facilities to ...

Think of having a healthcare attorney assist with the process.

In order to get payment for the some of the technical components of the services your physician offers in the office for patients in nursing facilities, you may need to have a set contract with the facility. Read this expert medical billing article to learn more.

Collecting payment from the nursing facility for the technical component services your physician carries out ? for instance medications, lab work, x-rays (the technical portion, not the interpretation), the technical share of EKGs, billable supplies, DME allotted from office, etc.-- can be your next task. Setting up a contract with each nursing facility you work with can help you circumvent consolidated medical billing and collection headaches down the road -- here's how.

Make the Contract Specific and Detailed

You'll wish to make the contract specific and identify the services, by means of CPT and HCPCS codes, your physicians can deliver to the facility's patients along with the negotiated fees for those procedures and services.

To ensure accurate medical billing, the contract must evidently indicate the nature of the relationship, compensation for the services to be delivered, the length of the contractual obligation, along with confidentiality and further compliance requirements.

The contract must also list your medical Coding billing information and involve a disclaimer mentioning that you anticipate payment for services rendered irrespective of the nursing facility's reimbursement status with the Medicare carrier. Deliver an executed copy of the contract to the facility, and you must keep one for your records.

Medical Billing Tip: Don't Price Gouge Simply Because You Can

You must consider charging the nursing facility merely for the reimbursement you could assume as per the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, experts recommend. Just for the reason that you're not held to a set fee schedule doesn't mean you could set prices higher than you'd charge for other patients.

While you are not bound by Medicare's set fees for the services you bill directly to the nursing facility, you'll likely find yourself struggling to get additional dollars from the facility over and above the fee schedule amount. The effort won't be worth the time and effort, chiefly if you deal with several nursing facilities -- besides you risk having the facility choose to stop using your practice.

Good practice: Try using a contract and talking first to resolve any persistent payment problems with a nursing facility. As a last resort, however, you can report your problems to the local or regional overseer of nursing homes and request an investigation into their medical billing operations.

Spouse Relationships-Look At Ways To Keep The Bliss

Spouse Relationships is an issue we need to take a minute and reflect on.
Your wedding day is most likely one of the happiest days in your life. On the other hand, it?s possible that it used to hold that distinction, but now that some years have gone by, you?re not so sure that marriage is all it?s cracked up to be. Spouse relationships are deep, and at times difficult. There is a lot that goes into making a marriage work well, but it is more than worth the effort if it means experiencing wedded bliss. Let?s take a look at how you and your spouse can have a better marriage.

Learning how to communicate with each other is one of the keys to a successful marriage and having great Spouse Relationships. Being able to talk to each other will only serve to strengthen your relationship. If you have a hard time doing this, or if it seems that most of your conversations devolve into arguments, then you may wish to get outside help. You can read books or take a course on effective communication skills, or you can see a marriage counselor. Wherever you learn your new skills from, it?s important that you actually practice them. It may not be easy at first, but over time, you will see how much of an improvement it makes.

?

Love ? This is what it?s all about, isn?t it? Being in love, feeling loved, and sharing love are all deep human emotions that need to be fulfilled. Marriage is the union of two people?s love and that love becomes greater than the sum of its parts. Now, that doesn?t mean that everything will always be perfect, but when things aren?t going right, true love is there to make it all better.

Trust ? Love is a powerful emotion, no doubt about it, but if there is distrust then love will suffer. You need to trust your spouse, and your spouse needs to trust you; this is one thing that can?t be faked. It?s possible to get away with lying to your spouse for a while, but over time it will start to make your marriage worse. Even if your spouse never finds out that you lied, you will know that you lied, and your deceit can make you less trusting of your spouse.

Respect ? It?s odd how badly we can treat those we love, and the same is true when it comes to spouse relationships. This negative treatment can take many forms, but it can usually be traced back to a lack of respect. Let your spouse know what you appreciate about them, pay attention to them, and accept them for who they are.

The Key to Great Spouse Relationships

Remember, a good marriage takes a good deal of effort, but it?s worth it. If you don?t value it, you could lose it, and that is never any fun. Take it seriously and treat your partner well, that is the secret to all successful spouse relationships.

St Louis Car Auction - Sell

Article by Jim Brown

Car repossession is a serious yet common tactic used by your creditors attempting to collect a debt. Fortunately, this powerful action can be stopped by Missouri and Illinois bankruptcy attorneys. They use the same law that provides protection from foreclosure, credit card debt help, and relief from harassing creditors and use it stop repossession.

Your creditors are legally allowed to repossess your car once you?ve missed two payments. Fortunately, a Missouri or Illinois bankruptcy attorney can stop this from happening with a Chapter 13 bankruptcybut you must act quickly. Your must contact a bankruptcy lawyer within 10 days from the date it was taken. Sure, some lenders may give you more than 10 days but, when it comes to your car, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Still thinking that bankruptcy isn?t the best option for you? If you do indeed decide to give your car up, you might be in just as much?if not more?trouble. If your car is sold at auction for less than you owe, you will have to pay the balance back to your lenders. Your creditors will stop at nothing to collect that debt?including harassing phone calls and garnishing your wages. On top of not having a car, these actions will make it much harder to pay back the debt.

Whatever it is you choose to do, remember to do it quickly. Here are a few steps you can take if your car has been repossessed or is in danger of being repossessed.

1.Take a long, hard look at your finances. If the financial situation that makes you unable to pay your car payment is temporary, then perhaps bankruptcy isn?t for you. But, as many Missouri and Illinois bankruptcy attorneys know, debt tends to have a snowball effect. It creates problems in every area of your lifeand usually has no foreseeable end.

2.Check on every option. You can call your lender but, in this economy, it might not do any good. Don?t underestimate the power that Missouri and Illinois Chapter 7 bankruptcy has to change the financial future for you and your family.

3. Act quickly. Whether you decide to give up your car or you decide to save it (and yourself) from your creditors, decide soon. Waiting to take action can take you into a much harder situation to get out of.
